This is a large 1 1/4" wide x 1 3/8" long sterling silver slide. There is a loop on the back which can accept almost any diameter of chain of choker.
It is fabricated from 2 sheets of sterling. The top layer has the "gas chamber" sections and the inner spiral cut out with the jeweler's saw. Once the top layer is soldered onto the solid sheet of the under layer, the piece is cooled and once again the gas chamber sections are cut out. I like to use my hand held jeweler's saw! The surfaced is then given a hammered texture. The piece is ready to be domed and a finding is soldered on the back to carry the chain or choker. Finally the piece is given a high polish and is ready to be worn.
